Stephens Gets Award for Relief Work Tuesday, October 18th , 2061 At the age of 17, Jeff Stephens says he still has a lot to learn about life in ROOKIE LEAGUE. But he certainly seems to be a quick study, as the Paradise Island Pirates reliever was better than all others this year and has captured the 2061 TML R Reliever of the Year Award. "I hope to win this a few more times before all is said and done in my career," the Sandy, Utah native said. For the season, Stephens had 15 saves in 30 relief appearances, which totaled 44. He fanned 66 betters, while walking 18 and put up a record of 5-2 to go with his 1.02 ERA. He received 28 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Tyler Martin of the Savannah Peaches finished second in voting, while Greg Argila of the Paradise Island Pirates finished third.
