Warhorses Won't Get Playoff Berth Monday, May 15th , 2062 A late-season playoff push is not in the cards for the Barnwell Warhorses. The club today was mathematically knocked out of playoff contention. "There are a lot of long faces around right now," said Warhorses manager Yassin Flament. "You know in your head that every year, most teams in baseball have to go through this, but it still hurts when you realize you've lost your shot at a title." This is the club's 2nd playoff miss in a row. They last appeared in the postseason in 2060. In total, the Warhorses have missed the playoffs 29 times in their 33-year history. In the last 10 seasons, the Warhorses have only made the playoffs once. |
