Moncrief Boosts Hit Streak to 20 Games Sunday, May 14th , 2062 Kearny High left fielder Matt Moncrief keeps on racking up hits every time he plays. His hitting streak now stands at 20 games after collecting 2 hits at Ballpark of Monterrey HS. The Cardinals earned the 8-5 victory over the Jefferson Indians. "I have been seeing the ball really good the last few weeks, but I am a bit surprised how things are working out," Moncrief said. "I've gotten a couple flares to drop in, so I've also been a little lucky." Matt Moncrief hit an RBI double in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, struck out in the 4th, struck out in the 7th and flied out in the 9th. A look at his season totals shows Moncrief with 18 home runs, .372 BA, .458 OBP, 71 RBIs and 70 runs scored. |
