Branon, Kearney Suspended for Fracas Sunday, May 14th , 2062 After an intense confrontation, both the Lions Art Branon and the Mustangs Benjamin Kearney were handed their punishments today. The league commissioner's office issued suspensions for an on-the-field conflict that occurred at a recent Lerna-Downsview game. Art Branon will miss 4 games, while Benjamin Kearney was suspended for 2 games. "Sometimes we go too far and have to pay the consequences," Art Branon commented later. "Hopefully cooler heads will prevail the next time we play." This year, Branon is hitting .392 with 82 hits, 19 home runs, 94 RBIs and has scored 68 runs. So far this year, Kearney has no saves in 17 relief appearances with a 0-0 record and 12.96 ERA. |
