Red-Hot Carr Scorches Panthers

Brian Carr had an answer for everything the Derby Panthers threw at him at River Otters Ballpark. The Santa Clara second baseman went 5-for-5 in the game to put his name in the record book and give the Vampires a win, 12-2.
Summing up his batting philosophy to BNN writers after the game, Carr said, "I just see the ball and I hit it."
Brian Carr hit a solo-shot off Jason Walters in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, walked in the 4th, singled in the 5th, hit a two-run home run off Dorian Franklin in the 6th and hit an RBI single in the 8th.
Carr on the season is hitting .352 with 17 home runs. His stats include 60 RBIs and 80 runs scored.
