Rivero Hits 3 Homers Against Pitman High
Thursday, May 4th , 2062
Carl Albert Titans first baseman Bruce Rivero had a magnificent game against the Pitman High Panthers, rocketing three balls out of Zebras Ballpark to help the Titans win, 18-6.
"I got some good pitches to hit and I creamed them," he said after the game. "The first was a big, fat fastball and the last two were hanging curves. All three were mistakes."
For the game, Rivero went 4-for-5 with 7 RBIs and 3 runs scored.
"There's a fine line between hitting home runs and line drives," Carl Albert manager Patrick Childs said later. "Seems like Bruce found his home run stroke today."
Bruce Rivero singled in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Jim Jones in the 3rd, hit a three-run home run off Doug Lippo in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Doug Lippo in the 5th and grounded out in the 6th.
Rivero on the season is batting .399 with 19 home runs. His totals include 60 RBIs and 73 runs scored. He has played in 51 games.
