Hat Trick of Home Runs for Miller
Tuesday, April 25th , 2062
Rutland Voodoos catcher Jeff Miller almost did it all. He sent three shots out of the ballpark, scored 3 times and drove in 7 runs and had 3 hits in 4 at-bats.

The one thing he could not do, however, was lead the Voodoos to victory. The George Washington Patriots escaped with the win, 21-7, despite being on the receiving end of the barrage from Miller.

"I'd be lying if I said I didn't like hitting three homers, but losing takes a little glitter off the game," he admitted to BNN writers after the game.

Jeff Miller flied out in the 2nd, hit a two-run home run off Kyle Stebbins in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Adam Bennett in the 6th and hit a three-run home run off Adam Boeckner in the 8th.

"When someone hits three home runs, you put yourself in a tough position to win," said Rutland manager Jason Fritz. "We were lucky to win this one. I don't think it matters how hard you throw, especially in the Hank Aaron Little League. If you leave a ball out over the plate to good LITTLE LEAGUE BASEBALL hitters, if they get a bead on you and you leave it over the middle, they're probably going to take a good hack at it."

So far this season, Miller has put up a .331 batting average with 47 hits, 16 home runs and 48 RBIs.
