Hicks Put in Cooler, Hitless Against Downsview Thursday, April 20th , 2062 The hitting streak that Pleasantville first baseman Jason Hicks had kept going for 26 games was ended by the Downsview Mustangs. Hicks was stymied over 2 at-bats, but the rest of his team picked him up, getting the 4-1 victory at Stealth Ballpark. "Hitting streaks come and go," Hicks said. "It did put a little pressure on me. It's hard to be natural at the plate with something like that always in the back of your mind. If it had to end, I'm glad it was in a win." In his season totals Hicks has 16 home runs and a .468 batting average. |
