Bad Behavior Costs Ruiz and Ritz Saturday, April 15th , 2062 Yesterday at Ballpark of Villahermosa HS William Ruiz and Tommie Ritz got into each other's space and then into each other's face. They began to grapple and fell to the ground. That's when it boiled over into a full-fledged bench-clearing tussle between the Terra Linda Trojans and Canby Lancers. Reason finally prevailed as the umpires restored order. After much discussion, only the two major combatants were ejected from the game. Today the league office notified the ballclubs that Ruiz will have to sit out 4 while Ritz would be given a 7-game suspension for their roles in the brawl. Ruiz is hitting .195 in 2062 with 19 RBIs and 5 home runs. This year, Ritz has a 0-1 record and a 16.74 ERA. |
