Hicks Ups Hit Streak to 20 Consecutive Games

Jason Hicks, first baseman for the Pleasantville Panthers, ran his consecutive-game hitting streak to 20 games with 3 hits in his club's 18-6 victory over the San Marin Mustangs at Stealth Ballpark.
"Not the outcome we wanted," San Marin manager Elijah Crooks said. "There's never a good time to lose, and it's never fun to be on the wrong end of somebody else's accomplishment." Jason Hicks hit a solo-shot off Chris Krone in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Mike Barbaro in the 4th, walked in a run in the 5th and grounded out in the 6th.
Hicks is currently batting .478 with 13 home runs, 59 runs scored and 47 RBIs. His OBP is .643.
