Weeter Parks 3 HR in the Seats Tuesday, April 4th , 2062 In a powerful performance that left the fans at Stealth Ballpark buzzing, Pitman High Panthers catcher Chris Weeter blasted a trio of home runs en route to a win, 19-8, over the Pleasantville Panthers. "Everything was clicking," Weeter told the press. "My timing was good and I got pitches I could handle and I didn't miss them." Weeter shined brilliantly in the win, with 4 hits in 5 at-bats, 10 RBIs and 5 runs scored. "It's not just one guy, it's everybody," Panthers manager David Copley said. "Chris played great but it takes more than one guy to win a game." Chris Weeter hit a three-run home run off Josh Hanson in the 2nd, hit a three-run home run off Tyler Trawinski in the 3rd, flied out in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, walked in the 7th and hit a three-run home run off Grant Corder in the 8th. Weeter is hitting at a .378 mark this season. His stats show 8 home runs, 34 RBIs and 21 runs scored. He has played 21 games for the Panthers. |
