Kittrell Cracks 3 HRs for Tioga Central Monday, April 3rd , 2062 Tioga Central Tigers center fielder Chris Kittrell sensed he was going to have a good day at the plate, but he still might have underestimated it a little. Prior to the start of today's contest with the George Washington Patriots, Kittrell told teammates he was sure he would hit a home run. He did -- three times. "During batting practice I really had my swing down pat," he recalled. "I felt some thunder in the lumber." The big day from Kittrell pushed the Tigers past the Patriots, 14-5. To go along with the homers, he collected 3 RBIs and scored 3 runs. "I was seeing good, feeling good and swinging good," Kittrell told reporters after the game. Chris Kittrell hit a solo-shot off Matt Kotecki in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Kyle Stebbins in the 6th, walked in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off Nick Giancaterino in the 9th. Thus far this year, Kittrell has hit .385 with 12 home runs and 41 RBIs. |
