Hit Streak Over, Panthers Stop Hradsky
Monday, April 3rd , 2062
Pleasantville Panthers center fielder Bobby Hradsky finally met his Waterloo.
A 25-game hitting spree is now history after Hradsky was unable to make anything happen in 4 at-bats today against the Pitman High Panthers. Fortunately for Hradsky and the Panthers, the rest of his team had enough in their bats to win the game, 20-3.
"We're a true team here," he said. "For 25 games I've been able to contribute, but I always believed these guys would take care of things if I couldn't some day."
For the season, Hradsky has produced 37 hits in 101 at-bats for a .366 average with 9 home runs and gotten on base at a .488 clip.
