Niagara's Lent Snags Cy Young Award Sunday, May 7th , 2062 The Niagara Stars have a rising superstar or maybe even a budding Hall-of-Famer in the making. It's Arvin Lent, this year's CANADIAN BASEBALL LEAGUE Cy Young Award selection. This blossoming hurler wowed fans, peers and sportswriters with a fabulous performance. Lent compiled a 8-1 record in 11 starts, tallied 55 strikeouts in 71.2 innings and recorded a 2.64 ERA. Other clubs managed only a .232 batting average against him. He received 8 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Terrence Muir of the Saskatoon Legends finished second in voting, while Forrest Lovelass of the Victoria Capitals finished third.
