Munroe Grabs CBL Reliever of the Year Award

Johnny Munroe was a calming influence out of the London Monarchs bullpen this season.
His teammates and manager said he had a poised demeanor about him that was typical of someone much older and more experienced. His poise has paid off, as the 17-year-old turned in a sparkling season and has been named the winner of the CANADIAN BASEBALL LEAGUE Reliever of the Year Award for 2062.
The Brantford, Canada native won the award with 5 saves in 15 relief appearances, 20 strikeouts in 16 innings and a record of 4-0 to go with his 0.00 ERA.
He received 6 first place votes out of a possible 8. Rusty Tremblett of the Calgary Outlaws finished second in voting with 2 first place votes, while Bill Meagher of the Victoria Capitals finished third.
