Wade Gosselin Strokes 3 Home Runs Friday, April 7th , 2062 It was a good day for the Kelowna Heat and an exceptional one for Wade Gosselin. The 23-year-old left fielder sent three bombs out of the park to help the Heat beat the Niagara Stars, 19-7, at Brantford College Grounds. "When you're in the zone, the game really slows down," Gosselin said when asked about his performance later. "I couldn't even tell you what pitches were thrown. Today feels great, but it is a long season and tomorrow is another day." For the day, he scored 3 times, drove in 9 runs and smacked 3 hits in 6 at-bats. Wade Gosselin struck out in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, hit a GRAND SLAM off Larry Mills in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Ray Verge in the 6th, hit a three-run home run off Bill Gravelle in the 7th and flied out in the 8th. This season, Gosselin is swinging the bat at a .397 rate with 81 hits in 204 at-bats. To date he has hit 33 home runs, scored 61 runs and driven in 94. |
