Le Carré Goes Deep 3 Times
Wednesday, March 22nd , 2062
The old superstition that "bad news comes in threes" certainly came true for the London Monarchs.
Niagara second baseman Loïc Le Carré tripled up on the home runs to propel the Stars to a win, 18-12, at Hatchets Ballpark.
"We had our chances to win the game, but we just didn't come through," London manager Lúcio Sánchez said. "Le Carré hit the heck out of the ball."
In addition to the homers, Le Carré collected 3 hits in 4 at-bats, 7 RBIs and scored 4 runs.
"Easy swings get you home runs," he said after the game. "I kept telling myself not to press. They have to be nice and easy swings."
Loïc Le Carré hit a two-run home run off Don Oulton in the 1st, walked in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Jack Brereton in the 4th, hit a GRAND SLAM off Dave Doiron in the 5th, walked in the 7th and struck out in the 9th.
At present, Le Carré is batting .314 with 48 hits and 8 home runs. He has knocked in 38 runs and scored 33 times.
