Bang-up Game: Lachance Slams 3 Homers
Tuesday, March 21st , 2062
Every now and then, everything just comes together.
Walt Lachance discovered that today at Corvettes Ballpark, as he smashed three home runs during the 10-6 London Monarchs win over the Calgary Outlaws.
"I got three balls to hit and nailed all three of them," the London first baseman said in his postgame interview. "The first was a hanging curve, the second was right down the middle and the last one was a good pitch, but I guessed right and put the wood to it."
Lachance, who is tied for 9th in the LBL with a .358 batting average, finished the day with 3 hits in 5 at-bats and 6 RBIs.
Walt Lachance hit a solo-shot off Tom McFarlen in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, hit a three-run home run off Tom McFarlen in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Doug Lundy in the 6th, walked in the 7th and flied out in the 8th.
For the year, Lachance is batting .358 with 11 home runs, 31 RBIs and 33 runs scored.
