Chartrand Honored by CANADIAN BASEBALL LEAGUE Monday, March 20th , 2062 Walt Chartrand demonstrated his potential to be a star in the game last week and today he took home the CANADIAN BASEBALL LEAGUE Player of the Week Award. The Saskatoon third baseman wreaked havoc on opposing pitchers last week, pounding them for a .522 average (12-for-23) with 3 home runs and 12 RBIs on his way to claiming the honor. Chartrand is batting .345 this year with 8 home runs, 34 RBIs and 43 runs scored. He has 48 hits in 139 at-bats. |
