Skip Bertman League Pitcher of the Year Named Wednesday, May 30th , 2057 Skip Bertman League hitters didn't have much of a chance in the 2057 season when the Michigan manager wrote "Joseph Fredericks" on the lineup card. Outing after outing, he held teams in check and usually got a win. He excelled with a 3-1 mark and 0.87 ERA in 8 starts, tossed 41.1 innings, fanned 47 and held opposing teams to a .130 average. For his superb season Fredericks was today named the SBL Cy Young Award winner. He received 32 first place votes out of a possible 48. Javier Rios of the Arkansas Razorbacks finished second in voting with 13 first place votes, while Rob Schuss of the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets finished third with 3 first place votes.
