SBL Gives Best Pitcher Award Friday, June 2nd , 2062 A sparkling 1-1 mark for the year just about says it all -- that's what Mike Snead of the Ohio State Buckeyes put up this season. That's why the Skip Bertman League rated him the #1 hurler in the league and named him the 2062 Cy Young Award winner. He held opposing clubs to a .181 batting average and compiled a 1.14 ERA. Snead stood out with 59 strikeouts while giving up 25 hits and 31 walks in 39.1 innings. He received 37 first place votes out of a possible 48. Mike Skinner of the South Illinois Salukis finished second in voting with 5 first place votes, while David Wood of the South Carolina Gamecocks finished third.
