Long Beach State Out of Playoff Race Thursday, May 11th , 2062 It "never gets easier" to have a playoff push come to an end, according to starting pitcher Ray Billings of the Long Beach State 49'ers. The Long Beach State player said his club was banking on being able to push themselves into the postseason, but they are now mathematically eliminated. The 49'ers have missed the playoffs 48 times in their 51 years as a USA NCAA DIVISION I franchise. This playoff miss is the club's 3rd in a row, with their last postseason appearance coming in 2059. In the last 10 seasons, the 49'ers have only made the playoffs once. |
