Season-Ending Injury for Sam Pappas Thursday, May 4th , 2062 The Titans received bad news this morning. Sam Pappas will miss 4 months due to a ruptured finger tendon. He sustained the injury in the Cal State Fullerton-Fresno State game while throwing a pitch. "I'm disappointed more than anything," he told reporters later in the day. "You can't help your team on the bench," Pappas sighed. "I'll do the rehab work and hope for a quick recovery." This season, Pappas has picked up no saves and posted a 1-0 record with a 18.22 ERA. He has 10 relief appearances, tossed 13.1 innings and struck out 15. |
