RDL Names Best Player Monday, April 24th , 2062 20-year-old Alex Mack made a few Texas A&M headlines during this past week as the rookie catcher proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and Rod Dedeaux League officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 16 hits in 29 at-bats to put up a .552 average. Mack collected 7 home runs, 12 RBIs and scored 11 runs. So far this season, Mack has gotten 48 hits in 126 at-bats for a .381 batting average with 15 home runs. His stats include 36 RBIs and 33 runs scored. He has played in 28 games. |
