Salazar and Vaughan Fight, Suspended 4 Games
Saturday, April 22nd , 2062
German Salazar of the Arkansas Razorbacks was not happy with Curtis Vaughan, and his frustration showed when he went after the Florida player during yesterday's game at Ballpark of Bismarck College. Both benches cleared as they rushed to the aid of their teammates. Order was soon restored as Salazar and Vaughan were pulled away from each other. They were ejected from the game.
Both players were suspended 4 games by the league office as a result of their tussle.
"It's something that happens in baseball every once in a while," Salazar commented later. "We get frustrated with another player and sometimes things go too far. We'll both take our suspensions and then come back ready to play. I got no hard feelings."
Thus far this year, Salazar has hit .200 with no home runs and 4 RBIs.
On the year, Vaughan has no saves in 11 relief appearances with a 0-1 record and 12.38 ERA.
