Titans Rawls and Sun Devils Helmick Suspended for Fight Sunday, April 16th , 2062 After an intense confrontation, both the Titans Jalen Rawls and the Sun Devils Brad Helmick were handed their punishments today. The league commissioner's office issued suspensions for an on-the-field conflict that occurred at a recent Cal State Fullerton-Arizona State game. Jalen Rawls will miss 3 games, while Brad Helmick was suspended for 7 games. "Sometimes we go too far and have to pay the consequences," Jalen Rawls commented later. "Hopefully cooler heads will prevail the next time we play." Rawls has a .209 average and a .352 on-base percentage for the year. He has picked up 18 hits, 2 home runs and driven in 10 runs. In 5 starts this season, Helmick has registered a 2-0 record and a 2.25 ERA. |
