Friday, April 7th , 2062
Iowa State Cyclones third baseman Seth Richards had a magnificent game against the Kansas Jayhawks, rocketing three balls out of Brutes Ballpark to help the Cyclones win, 14-11.
"I got some good pitches to hit and I creamed them," he said after the game. "The first was a big, fat fastball and the last two were hanging curves. All three were mistakes."
For the game, Richards went 3-for-5 with 5 RBIs and 4 runs scored.
"There's a fine line between hitting home runs and line drives," Iowa State manager Felipe Arreola said later. "Seems like Seth found his home run stroke today."
Seth Richards hit a three-run home run off Travis Brannan in the 1st, walked in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Ross Fitzgerald in the 4th, flied out in the 5th, flied out in the 8th and hit a solo-shot off Steve Marasco in the 11th.
So far this season, Richards has hit .351 with 11 home runs, 19 RBIs and scored 19 times.
