Frank Slams 3 Deep for Clemson Thursday, March 30th , 2062 Nate Frank brutalized the Tennessee Volunteers pitching staff, launching three home runs in the 13-6 Clemson victory at Madera College Grounds. The Clemson Tigers first baseman was red-hot, the ball just exploding off his bat all day. "I don't try to hit homers," he said later. "I try to go out there and put a good swing on the ball, and sometimes it is going to go out of the park. I didn't try to hit the first one or the second one or the third one." For the game, he went 4-for-6 with 8 RBIs and 3 runs scored. "Too much Nate Frank today," Volunteers manager Javier Orantes said. "That's my assessment of the game. That's what our problems boiled down to." Nate Frank hit a GRAND SLAM off Jim Mariner in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, struck out in the 4th, hit a three-run home run off Nick Carl in the 6th, hit a solo-shot off Jerry Simon in the 8th and struck out in the 9th. This season, Frank has delivered 8 hits in 35 at-bats for a .229 average with 4 home runs. He is getting on base at a .341 clip and his totals also include 12 RBIs and 6 runs scored.
