Big Day for Hanzal: Swats 5 Hits Monday, March 27th , 2062 It was a sensational day at the plate for Gordie Hanzal as he led the charge to a nifty 12-2 win over the Cougars. The Baylor catcher was pure misery for the Houston pitching staff. He left them shell-shocked with 5 hits in 5 at-bats in an explosive display of hitting. "Hanzal put the ball into play and he really hit it hard," said Derrick Cable, manager for the Cougars, after the game. "When you do that, you've got a good chance to do some damage. And that's what happened. I feel like we threw some good pitches, but he just put some good swings on the ball." Gordie Hanzal hit an RBI single in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Eric McCarthy in the 4th, hit an RBI double in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Kory Sanders in the 7th and singled in the 8th.
