Chalk up another one for South Mississippi Golden Eagles third baseman Matt Mulholland. He now has hit in 20 straight games. Mulholland went 1-for-6 in today's game at Wolverines Stadium but saw his club defeated, 7-6, by the host Baylor Bears.
"Playing on the road always makes it harder to get hits and to get wins," Golden Eagles manager John Inglis said after the game. "We got one of the two, but unfortunately it was the wrong one." Matt Mulholland singled in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, struck out in the 5th, flied out in the 7th, struck out in the 8th and flied out in the 10th.
Mulholland is hitting .312 so far this season with 7 RBIs and 10 runs scored. He has 10 hits including 1 home run, 7 walks and .450 OBP.
