Brisbane's Cortez Sidelined for Season Tuesday, October 4th , 2061 Jordan Cortez of the Bush Wackers just might have to call it quits for the season. The 24-year-old Brisbane reliever received a possible season-ending injury against the West Virginia Dancin' Outlaws recently at The Rain Forest. Cortez suffered a torn rotator cuff while throwing a pitch. The Bush Wackers medical staff said he could be out quite some time, as much as 4 months. Cortez has pitched 94 innings and molded a 12.64 ERA with 4 saves. He has surrendered 140 hits while registering 55 strikeouts on his way to a 3-10 record for the Bush Wackers this year. |
