Charleston SP Mike Wood Injured Tuesday, October 7th , 2064 Mike Wood will soon find out from his doctors if his season will continue. The first diagnosis was not too positive and indicated the Charleston starting pitcher could miss the remainder of the year. Wood was injured while throwing a pitch in the Panthers-Five O's clash at Franklin Mountains Field recently. Doctors said he has a ruptured ulnar collateral ligament and would be out a minimum of 14 months. So far this year, Wood has made 8 starts, tossed 96.2 innings, struck out 50 batters and walked 75. His record is 3-8 with a 7.73 ERA and he has limited opposing teams to a .346 batting average. |
