Valdez Blisters Carmel Thursday, October 2nd , 2064 Alejandro Valdez really did a number on the Carmel Apples -- and the Apples did one right back on Valdez's team, the Moose Jaw Warriors, taking the BLM Stadium contest, 7-6. Valdez delivered a huge 5-for-6 performance for Moose Jaw, but did not deliver the victory. "I felt real good in the batter's box," the 23-year-old left fielder said after putting up a game for the ages. "I had confidence in my swing and knew that it was there and that I could get the job done." Alejandro Valdez doubled in the 1st, tripled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 6th, flied out in the 9th and singled in the 12th. For the year, Valdez is batting .310 with 36 hits and 6 home runs. He has scored 21 times and driven in 30. View Boxscore View Game Log |
