Lake Monsters Reeves Raps 3 Homers
Sunday, April 13th , 2064
Cody Reeves brutalized the St. Paul Saints pitching staff, launching three home runs in the 15-8 Okanagan victory at Saints Ballpark. The Okanagan Lake Monsters second baseman was red-hot, the ball just exploding off his bat all day.
"I don't try to hit homers," he said later. "I try to go out there and put a good swing on the ball, and sometimes it is going to go out of the park. I didn't try to hit the first one or the second one or the third one."
For the game, he went 4-for-5 with 7 RBIs and 4 runs scored.
"Too much Cody Reeves today," Saints manager Les Silvas said. "That's my assessment of the game. That's what our problems boiled down to."
Cody Reeves singled in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Chris Adger in the 3rd, flied out in the 4th, hit a three-run home run off Rodolfo Zepeda in the 7th and hit a two-run home run off Luis Rivera in the 8th.
Looking at his stats this year, Reeves has compiled a .448 batting average, while hitting 4 home runs and driving in 10 runs. He has played in 7 games and scored 8 runs.
