Four-bagger Feast: Thomas Slugs 3 for Chippewa

Chippewa River Chiefs catcher Josh Thomas left the Charleston pitching staff in ruins at Franklin Mountains Field, beating the Panthers, 19-4, with a prodigious three-home run performance.
"The last one was totally unexpected," Thomas told reporters at the press conference following his big game. "I just wanted to make good contact, never thinking I would get a home run, and bang, I got number three."
For the game, the Chippewa catcher had 6 hits in 6 at-bats, drove in 6 and scored 5 runs.
Josh Thomas hit a two-run home run off Bernie Moreno in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Bernie Moreno in the 3rd, hit an RBI double in the 4th, singled in the 5th, was hit by a pitch in the 6th, singled in the 8th and hit a solo-shot off Francisco Miranda in the 9th.
During the current season Thomas is batting at a .379 clip with 32 home runs and 102 RBIs. He has played in 111 games and scored 86 times.
