League Takes Action, Valdez Suspended
Wednesday, September 5th , 2063
The Moose Jaw Warriors were officially notified that left fielder Alejandro Valdez had been suspended for an altercation that occurred in yesterday's game with the Princes at The Nut House. After arguing a called third strike by the plate umpire, an enraged Valdez threw his batting helmet toward home after he reached the dugout.
That action got him ejected and a 3-game suspension.
"I threw the helmet and I shouldn't have. But I don't deserve the suspension. It was a bad call that started this whole mess."
So far this season, Valdez is batting .268 with 12 home runs, 32 RBIs and 34 runs scored. He has 37 hits in 138 at-bats, 33 walks and a .412 OBP. Valdez has played in 54 games.
