Springfield Loses Herrewijn for Year Tuesday, July 24th, 2029 Lex Herrewijn has to call it a season. The Springfield Capitals reliever sustained a season-ending injury against the West Virginia Dancin' Outlaws and will not play again this year according to club doctors. Herrewijn was injured while throwing a pitch. His doctors diagnosed it as a torn labrum and stated that he would not be able to play for 4-5 months. Herrewijn has made 14 relief appearances this year and notched 1 save. To date in 82 innings he has a 4-5 record, 3.95 ERA with 96 strikeouts and 29 walks. |
