Beall and Acuna Suspended for Free-for-All Sunday, August 26th , 2063 If there wasn't a history between Chris Beall of Eugene and Billy Acuna of Ocala, then there is one now. The incident between the two sparked a bench-clearing scrum with those two being the center of attention. Now they will miss 5 and 11 games respectively as a result of their actions. The league office announced their suspensions today. "We're both really competitive," Beall said later, "and sometimes things go a little too far because of it." This season in 74 games, Beall has hit at a .280 clip with 69 hits, 7 home runs, 37 RBIs and 55 runs scored. This year, Acuna has chalked up a 6.75 ERA with no saves. In 13 relief appearances he has put up a 1-2 won-lost mark and struck out 14 batters in 29.1 innings. |
