Woodring Belts Bunch of Base Hits Saturday, June 23rd , 2063 There aren't many who could be pro ballplayers and there are even fewer who could put up 5 hits in a day. Chris Woodring is one of those rare few, as he went 5-for-7 against the Memphis Blues at The Barn. The monster effort from the 22-year-old shortstop helped the Kingwood Knights get the win, 13-11. "We made some bad pitches and he took advantage of it," said Blues manager Mike Williams. "That's the game, though. Don't make mistakes and you'll win ballgames. Make mistakes and, well, you saw what happened today." Chris Woodring flied out in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, grounded out in the 5th, singled in the 7th, hit an RBI single in the 7th, hit an RBI single in the 8th and hit an RBI single in the 9th.
