Escamilla Sizzles with 20-Game Batting Streak Saturday, June 3rd , 2062 Doug Escamilla's consecutive-game hitting streak has now climbed to 20 games. The Oconomowoc left fielder smacked 1 hit against the Niagara Falls Barrels in today's game at Arnold Field, but he expressed mixed emotions about the streak after watching the Five O's drop the game, 17-3. "I feel good about the streak, but don't feel good when we lose," he told reporters. "I'd love to get a hit as well as a win next time so I can celebrate properly." Doug Escamilla singled in the 2nd, grounded out in the 3rd, walked in the 6th and flied out in the 8th. Escamilla is hitting .394 this year with 13 home runs and 54 RBIs. He also has an OBP of .453, 21 walks and scored 40 times. |
