Ronca, Merino Suspended for Fracas Friday, June 2nd , 2062 Tom Ronca of the Carmel Apples and Victor Merino of the Houston Sting received notification from the league commissioner's office that they had been suspended for 4 and 8 games respectively for their part in the on-field ruckus in a recent game at BLM Stadium. At present, Ronca is batting .296 and has collected 7 home runs, 28 RBIs, .461 OBP and scored 22 runs. Merino has started 8 times this year, pitched 26 innings, fanned 13 batters and walked 23. His current record is no wins and 3 losses with a 13.15 ERA. |
