Nichols-Victoria Brawl, Randell and Cox Suspended Wednesday, May 3rd , 2062 Charles Randell of the Nichols Gnats and Chris Cox of the Victoria Vikings will be on the sidelines for a few days. They have been suspended for 4 and 9 games respectively by the league office for causing the bench-emptying free-for-all at the recent Gnats-Vikings game at The Pond. Neither player had any comment about the suspensions. Both clubs told BNN Randell and Cox will begin serving them soon. Randell has a .340 average and a .475 on-base percentage for the year. He has picked up 32 hits, 6 home runs and driven in 19 runs. Thus far this season, Cox has compiled a 1-2 record, made no relief appearances with no saves, hurling 36 innings and striking out 33. He has held the opposition to a .306 batting average with a 6.00 ERA. |
