Rowdy Players Suspended by League Thursday, April 27th , 2062 If there wasn't a history between Rogelio Roman of Victoria and Willie Sotelo of St. Paul, then there is one now. The incident between the two sparked a bench-clearing scrum with those two being the center of attention. Now they will miss 4 and 6 games respectively as a result of their actions. The league office announced their suspensions today. "We're both really competitive," Roman said later, "and sometimes things go a little too far because of it." This season, Roman has delivered 12 hits in 61 at-bats for a .197 average with 2 home runs. He is getting on base at a .290 clip and his totals also include 8 RBIs and 7 runs scored. This year Roman has played in 20 games. This year, Sotelo has gone 2-2 with an ERA of 6.07 and has 18 strikeouts in 26.2 innings. |
