Sprague Grabs TA Reliever of the Year Award
Wednesday, November 2nd , 2061
At the age of 20, Franklin Sprague says he still has a lot to learn about life in SINGLE A.
But he certainly seems to be a quick study, as the Memphis Blues reliever was better than all others this year and has captured the 2061 TML A Reliever of the Year Award.
"I hope to win this a few more times before all is said and done in my career," the North Vancouver, Canada native said.
For the season, Sprague had 31 saves in 51 relief appearances, which totaled 53.1. He fanned 66 betters, while walking 28 and put up a record of 8-3 to go with his 1.18 ERA.
He received 17 first place votes out of a possible 28. Josh Wahl of the Kingwood Knights finished second in voting with 11 first place votes, while Steve Hoefling of the Baltimore Magicians finished third.
