June's Top Starter Named in ACL Saturday, July 1st, 2023 There's something about a young rookie winning the Alexander Cartwright League Pitcher of the Month trophy that sends shock waves through the league. Such is the case with Fu-po Eng, a 23-year-old starter for the Silicon Valley Hackers. In June, he topped off the month with a 5-0 mark and 2.20 ERA in 4 starts, tossed 32.2 innings, fanned 29 and held opposing teams to a .184 average. In 13 starts this season, Eng has recorded 10 wins and absorbed 2 losses. He has pitched 99.2 innings, allowed 64 hits, struck out 87 and has a 1.72 ERA. |
