Bossert Tosses Shutout Against Sandy Springs Saturday, August 9th , 2064 Carson City Mustang starter Cory Bossert really did a number on the Sandy Springs Spartans, shutting them out, 3-0, on 7 hits in a complete game victory. He issued no walks and had 4 strikeouts. "We didn't have good at-bats," said Sandy Springs manager Rafael Alonso. "I don't make excuses, but when we were playing the game, our energy didn't show. That comes from either extremely good pitching or extremely lousy hitting and seeing as our team has a bunch of good hitters, I have to tip my cap to Bossert."
