Reid Spins No-Hitter Saturday, June 7th , 2064 The Moose Jaw Canucks were just hoping for a solid outing from Chad Reid. Instead, they got something special. The 26-year-old hurler tossed a no-hitter against the Fraser Valley Black Bears, helping the Canucks take the 17-0 win. "I felt good throughout the game," he said after his spectacular outing for the Canucks. "As I was going into the ninth inning, I wasn't nervous. I knew I had a chance to do something special." Reid's repertoire has a circle change, fastball, cutter, curveball, and changeup, and he used it all to full advantage, keeping the Fraser Valley hitters off balance all game long. The Moose Jaw hurler fanned 10 and walked 2 in his history-making performance. "His circle change looked about the size of a watermelon seed and it hissed at you as it passed," Fraser Valley manager Albert Giles joked after the game.
