Winters Week's Best Player Monday, June 2nd , 2064 Windsor fans have something to crow about today as Windsor right fielder Michael Winters nabbed the RCL AA Player of the Week Award for his performance over the last seven days. "I know there are times when it's hard to lay off pitches. Everyone goes through stretches when he's too eager to put the ball in play. You know, though, I feel like this past week I was able to get in the right frame of mind and just let things come naturally," said Winters. He posted a .409 average (9-for-22) this past week with 4 home runs, 9 RBIs, and 6 runs scored. Winters has collected 28 hits for the Royals this year, 6 of them home runs. He has also netted 18 RBIs and scored 14 runs while batting .295. |
