Downey Rockets 3 HR Against Carson City Friday, May 16th , 2064 Every now and then, everything just comes together. Brad Downey discovered that today at The Stetson Bowl, as he smashed three home runs during the 15-6 Fraser Valley Black Bears win over the Carson City Mustang. "I got three balls to hit and nailed all three of them," the Fraser Valley right fielder said in his postgame interview. "The first was a hanging curve, the second was right down the middle and the last one was a good pitch, but I guessed right and put the wood to it." Downey, who is tied for 8th in the TAA with a .568 slugging percentage, finished the day with 3 hits in 4 at-bats and 7 RBIs. Brad Downey hit a three-run home run off Josh Blum in the 1st, walked in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Juan Alvarez in the 4th, hit a three-run home run off Juan Alvarez in the 5th and struck out in the 7th. This season, Downey is hitting .274 with 9 home runs. |
