Pinksen Raps 3 Homers Against Bulldogs
Saturday, September 22nd , 2063
Matt Pinksen went on an explosive hitting spree against the Spokane Bulldogs at The Kennel, launching a trio of blasts to help the Carson City Mustang win, 28-3.
The catcher finished 5-for-6 with 4 runs scored and 6 runs batted in.
"It was just one of those days," Pinksen said in a postgame interview. "I don't know how to explain it. I'm just putting a good swing on the ball."
Spokane skipper said Pinksen was "locked-in."
"We made some pretty good pitches," he said. "Those first two homers were exactly where the pitcher wanted to put them. He's just hot right now -- you've just got to tip your hat to him."
Matt Pinksen singled in the 1st, struck out in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Willie Pantoja in the 5th, hit a two-run home run off Willie Sotelo in the 6th, hit a two-run single in the 6th, walked in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off Leo Diaz in the 9th.
This season, Pinksen has hit 8 home runs and posted a .306 batting average.
